Plans For Expansion

News
2/22/2007
With the receipt of a $50,000 grant from the Daniels Fund of Colorado, the board made definite plans to build the long planned addition.  Half of this grant was a challenge grant - the $25,000 was raised in a month's time thus giving the library a total of $75,000.  Donations poured in and the building began in the early part of 2007.

Groundbreaking ceremony as gas lines are moved in preparation of building expansion. Pat Sullivan, Kay Finkelstein, and Mary Bowker are on hand to celebrate and lend a hand.

With construction nearing completion, the next hurdle is to find funding to furnish the building.  Fund raising is on going and we appreciate the support of the community and our patrons in these endeavors.

7/15/2008
The library officially opens with full use of the addition. Renovation continues and funds are still required for the as-yet unpaid construction bills.
