mission statement & goals Mission Statement Capitan Public Library and its volunteer staff inspire personal growth by providing the community with free, open, and equal access to the most comprehensive resources available. Goals Provide a well equipped library that is safe, secure and technically up to date. Expand programs for both children and adults. Renovate and expand current facilities. Provide space for community groups.

Capitan Public Library is a non-profit organization serving greater Lincoln County, New Mexico, including the communities of Capitan, Alto, Carrizozo, Lincoln, Nogal, Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, Fort Stanton and White Oaks.
